Casa Beni is on the very edge of one of the famous whitewashed villages of Andalucia, Canillas de Aceituno. From here one can explore the rest of the Axarquia countryside or go down to the coast, where the pace is a little faster.
Canillas de Aceituno is of Moorish origin and there are still many signs to be
seen of this era.The town derived its name from the 8th century Moorish name of Azeytuni,
which means a fabric made with silk.
